jae_buildsThis was a large stage, that almost felt like it could have been split up into two separate stages; I built the third funnel, and then built what I think is meant to be the housing for the compass as described way back in 2.4.21 at the start of section 4. I don't have much more commentary, so here's the mise-en-place.
You've already seen me build two funnels, so I won't post a bunch of pictures of that. There are a few subtle differences, so if you do want to see more, check out the Google Photos album. Here's the finished funnel.
Then I added these two 1x6 tiles, which created the two small holes on either side of the funnel assembly.
I wasn't sure exactly what they were for, but you'll note the bar visible in the closer one, which if you recall is similar to the bars the bench assemblies were clipped to in section 3. So I was not too surprised when I built these:
I put them in place, and added two lifeboats.
Next I built the compass housing.
Finally, I connected sections three and four.
Next time I'll patch those holes in the hull and deck, add legs, and then connect this third of the boat to the first third from Box one. I'm very much looking forward to the next section.
