3.5.34: So satisfying
Dec. 30th, 2021 08:18 pmI'm going to jump right in, because this stage was full to the brim with satisfying moments. Enough of them that I'm not going to bother pointing them out; with few exceptions, I found almost every step in this stage satisfying. This includes what I think is my favorite knoll so far for the mise-en-place; I'm just very pleased with how neat it ended up.

I put some structural pieces down each side of the build.

Then I built and placed two tiny sets of stairs.

I added the deck plates and tiles.

And added an elevated section of deck around the hole where the funnel will go.

I built and placed another skylight.

Finally I added railings to the elevated deck sections I'd built earlier.

And that's it for this stage. Here's a final shot.

Thanks, as always, for reading.

Next came lots of little tiny clipped-in pieces. First, deck plates to fill in the holes immediately in front of and to the side of the little stairs.
This will get clipped to the rear of the two brown bars below (the one closer to the top of the photo). (I also made a mirror image for the other side of the ship, but forgot to get a photo of it.)
Finally I added railings to the elevated deck sections I'd built earlier.
