I'm running out of clever blog post intros, especially when I get to stages like this where I'm not really doing anything new or exciting. (As I've said before, I definitely still enjoy these stages; they're good for stress relief and relaxing. I just don't know how to write about them interestingly. Sorry.)
Here's the mise-en-place:

I started by adding another set of mostly-empty rooms.

Next I added the base plate for the next level, and the hull walls for this level of the ship.

Next came the other half of the chessboard lobby from 2.4.24.

In stage 24, the quarter-circles were oriented such that they looked like chairs. Here, with them pointing directly away from the central studs, I'm no longer sure that's accurate. What do you think the furniture on this level is supposed to be? Here's the photo from the earlier stage again, so you can see them side by side.

The last part of this stage involved building up the hull walls a bit more. First I made these ten structural assemblies; I forgot to take a photo of them on the build, but you'll see that below, and you've seen these in earlier sections.

Next I made the window strips that have also shown up in previous stages.

Someone asked on Discord how I get the 1x1 towers aligned so the edges are flush. I'll show you. When I first build them, I try to get them mostly aligned but don't worry too much about exact precision.

I place it on a smooth flat surface -- it does need to be smooth for this to work well, doing it on my work table, which is slightly textured, doesn't quite work as well -- and I press down, forcing the pieces to rotate so they're all flush with the surface.

That's it, really. I sometimes need to repeat that step, if I didn't apply pressure evenly along the whole tower, but it's not complicated.
Anyway, I added those four towers to the build, in the gap created from the ten structural pieces mentioned previously.

Then I built two longer towers to fill in the rest of the gap on each side.

That's it for stage 32! Thanks as always for reading.
Discussion prompt: Do you have any simple tricks that you were surprised to learn not everyone knew?
